KOWLOON MAGNATE goes on top here third up. She strips fitter after fighting on strongly in choppy conditions at Muswellbrook last start. She has shown plenty of early speed and should use barrier four to roll straight to the front and take catching. KUMBAYA was eased out of the race and is much better than that effort suggests. She strips fitter and is expected to improve sharply. ROYAL AND READY has improved with each run this preparation and looks ready to peak fourth up. MY CARTOUCHE has drawn perfectly in barrier one and gets the benefit of a 2KG claim. She can be right in the finish.

Wyong Racecourse is on the central coast of New South Wales, an hour’s north of Sydney’s CBD. The track is operated by the Wyong Race Club. The Wyong Gold Cup is run on the 1600-metre-track in late August/early September each year.
