ZAKKUZAKU (10) knuckled down strongly to get within one length of the winner in second last start over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt when coming back from a break. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and should be in the finish. TAKERU HURLOCK (2) finds it hard to win with just one success from 11 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when ninth over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 5.5 lengths. The engagement of Katsuma Sameshima is a positive move. Expect a big run. NISHINO JEDI (16) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. AMY MOON (4) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a spell on December 20, finishing eighth and beaten 5 lengths over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt. Better than that and is sure to make her presence felt.
