5 and 2 the leaders. 12 months ago LINDERMANN finished 10th of 11 in the Winx Stakes first-up (albeit on Heavy 10 and he ain't no wet-tracker) then won this race easily 2nd-up. Sure, I'm here to say his first-up finish was a little disappointing but look at the horse's form through last prep and the gallopers that he was mixing it with. I'm happy to stick with him for this one and fully expect sharp improvement. CEOLWULF of course beat him home in the Winx and he will only improve out of that. Last year he finished 4th in the WInx and was then 4th to LINDERMANN in this race as a $1.75 favourite.
