MODERATE GALE (15) resumes with the strongest claim, having won by five lengths at this track in Mdn grade before the break and boasting one win and two places from three starts at this track and distance. He was beaten a nose by QUAD FORZA (12) earlier in that campaign, but his overall profile at 2100m gives him a solid platform fresh. Quad Forza has that direct form reference, a win and a placing from three at this track and distance, and was sound enough when fourth here first-up. WONDER BLITZ (8) has to rebound from being tailed off as favourite at Nakayama Dirt, yet his nine-length Mdn win at Sapporo Dirt two starts ago and strong career place rate keep him right in the race. GRAND SWELL (5) was well beaten by Mr Canberra despite finishing second last start, but he has been holding his form, beat Wonder Blitz in that race, and reunites with a jockey who has one win and one place from two rides on him.
