PIEMANSON (16) sets the standard off a dominant Chukyo Dirt ALLOW win, scoring by four lengths as favourite after being beaten only half a length the run prior. He has placed at this track before, brings four wins and five placings from 13 starts overall, and has the right recent profile to overcome the step back to 1600m. CLAY KING (12) resumes after over a year but has a strong seven-start record, has already won at this track, and Christophe Lemaire has one win and two placings from four rides on him. SLAZAK (7) was second at Kyoto Dirt last start, beaten just under two lengths, and his 1600m record reads well enough to keep him close. RESUSCITATION (9) is the in-form three-year-old, with four wins from six starts this season and a last-start Hanshin Dirt win, though he has to answer the 1600m question.
