CHANSON D'OR (3) has the most reliable recent profile, with a neck second at Nakayama after working into the race well and a prior third at Niigata when again well found in betting. Her career record reads two wins and six places from eight starts, and with Christophe Lemaire back aboard she sets the standard. FUJI GAIFU (7) is the clear danger after missing by a nose at this track and he has two wins and three places from five starts at this track and distance. KISHIDANCHO (4) was below his best at Kyoto, but his Niigata win from Daisy two runs ago and his one-from-one record at 1600m keep him firmly in the mix. COOL DAYTONA (10) was only fair first-up, yet his earlier second at this venue and two wins at the distance give him enough substance for minor honours.
