L'AVENUE (7) brings the strongest piece of form through his fourth in the G3 Kyodo News Hai (Tokinominoru Kinen) at this track, where he was beaten a length and a half by Realize Sirius. He was below market expectations when fourth at Kyoto last start as a prohibitive odds-on favourite, but he has already won at this track and distance and still profiles as the one to beat. ORGULLECIDA (10) is the clear danger on consistency, having been beaten a nose two starts back and third to Riposante at Niigata before a break, with five placings from five tries at this track and distance. VALO ARC (12) was only fair at Sapporo when favourite, yet his overall record and two solid runs at this venue keep him in the mix. AMETHYSTOS (8) has to rebound from an 11th at Fukushima, but his third in an ALLOW at this track two starts back gives him a genuine place-to-win bridge if he returns in that order.
