SARTI (2) was a beaten short-priced favourite fresh up at Te Rapa 4 weeks ago when he was doing his best work late to finish third, less than a length from the winner. He strips fitter, and the extra 100m should be all he needs to get the job done here. Follow your money. DAY ONE (1) ended his 3YO campaign with a fourth place finish as the favourite here at Listed level over 2100m in January. This slow maturing gelding will make his mark over ground this season, so expect him to sprint well fresh. Each way. OUR SOLANA (13) managed to clear her maiden status last season, and she is bred to be hitting her straps as a 5YO over some ground. A recent trial would have sharpened her up, and a bold effort can be expected fresh. LOS SANTOS (3) finished off his race nicely here 2 weeks ago over 1100m when finishing runner-up. The extra 200m is ideal, and he has top 4 prospects again. LE JACQUES CARTIER (5) peaked fresh up, and he will finish a lot closer this time. Keep very safe.
