SYSTEM OF PLAY (2) did what he had to when winning his juvenile debut by nearly a length at Te Rapa in April, and he will resume here as a stronger colt. He may be wanting more ground than 1400m already, but from a good gate, he will be hard to toss fresh up. INCANDESCENT (1) ended his juvenile campaign with a Listed win on this track in May. He has had a quiet trial to fit him for his return, and should be ready to rumble. LATOYA (4) is a progressive filly who just got too far back last time out here 2 weeks ago in the Sunline Vase, and with a positive jockey change to Matt Cartwright, she is worth another chance. SO FEAR (3) battled on fairly well fresh up in the Whanganui Guineas on a track that was very testing there 3 weeks ago. The extra 200m and a firmer surface will suit her, and she can improve sharply. Each way. GROCER'S GIRL (7) was not far away from the money fresh up here a fortnight ago, and she is another top 4 hope in a competitive field.
