ICARO is progressive type who gets back so wide draw no great concern on the big track. Good looking win at Seymour and made a massive amount of ground in metro midweeker in a grade higher than here. OMNIC was smashed late in the betting to run $1.75 favourite at Geelong over slightly longer trip, but battled on well as always and has the pace to use the inside barrier. MR SIOUX flew home here on debut over 1300m and was extreme favourite on Heavy 10 over 1400m. Back to firmer track here, but does look like 1600m will suit. STUNTMAN showed nice improvement with run under belt winning on the synthetic at Ballarat. Ran well on turf on debut in high value maiden with winner ultimately winning $250k Future Stars Final. WASHINGTON LILAC was tried in Group company last start in Sydney. Looked a mare who would improve with time and distance so 1600m first-up on big track gives her a chance to run well.
