HUDDL HOBART (1) sets the standard after finishing second to Rapid Strike in Open grade at this track last start, beaten just over a length after again being kept safe in betting. He is still a maiden after eleven starts, but seven placings tell the story of a consistent runner who is ready to break through if he repeats that latest effort. HUDDL HAWK (2) was below his best when fifth in a CL0-2W last start, beaten just over eight lengths, but his narrow Nowra second two back gives him a form reference capable of measuring up and he gets back to Mdn company. DON’T TRUST TROY (6) has been around the mark in stronger races, including a three-length sixth behind Rapid Strike last start, and barrier one gives him every chance to use his race fitness. PACIFIC EAGLE (7) has to rebound from an eight-length fifth over 1500m, but her third in Class 4 company two starts ago keeps her in the mix as a genuine place-to-winning hope if she returns to that level.
