ROKUMEIKAN (9) brings the most reliable recent profile, having kept to the task for fifth at Hanshin last start after a much closer fifth on debut at Kokura when beaten a length and a half at long odds. His latest figure rates highly for this field and, with that run under the belt, he gets a genuine chance to break through. LUX ALCARD (14) has the cleanest placing form, running second on debut at Chukyo and already showing he handles today's distance range. THRONOS (17) resumes off a strong debut second at this track, beaten just over a length after being well found in betting, and that local form reads well despite the wide draw. CROWN SOCRATES (3) was solid enough at Kyoto when fifth at long odds and should take benefit from that first race experience.
