COOL GAMON (9) makes strong appeal after a solid Kyoto debut in a NEWCOMER, finishing second to Benny Barows and beaten just over a length after only being run down late. She had Crust Moon behind her there, has already placed at the 1200m and now gets the benefit of a class drop and weight relief, so she sets the standard. BEL ME GUSTA (7) has not matched that exposed 1200m form, but she is third-up, race fit and comes in with a very light weight after two 1400m runs at Hanshin where she was prominent enough before weakening. CRUST MOON (6) was a well-supported favourite on debut and finished strongly for third, so he remains a serious danger with natural improvement. COPANO ACTION (3) was at long odds when fourth in the same Kyoto race, closed off well and looks the next most reliable winning hope if she takes the expected step forward.
