WONDERFUL TODAY (2) is the horse to beat after resuming with a decisive C1C2 win at this track, beating Masa Wood Tail by four lengths after travelling strongly into the straight. He had been beaten only a nose by Diamond Fuji at his previous run and his record at this venue, alongside a strong association with Seiya Tatara, gives him the clearest winning profile. THREE ROSE (10) is the main danger, coming off a C2 win over Super Kitty and bringing the best sustained recent record, including five wins and five places from 13 starts in the past 12 months. STEVE BAROWS (4) has to rebound from a fifth beaten over 12 lengths, but he is back to a distance range where he has won and his broader track record keeps him in the contest. FUKUNO LUKKA (6) is harder to back as a winner after a plain latest run, yet two wins and two places from seven starts at this track and distance give her a sound place case.
