GLADIATRIX (2) drew wider in the heats of this series at Bendigo and chased along the sprint lane to miss by just a head. Bombed the start when well fancied in the Vicbred Super Series final prior so she'll need to get it right but with manners she should every chance from the low draw. HARPERSEVEN (7) caused a surprise with a Vicbred final win from the back row at this circuit and distance last month and backed it up in the heats of this series, leading to score by more than 5m. Draws wider but she is in terrific form. ALDEBARAN ADA (3) continues to race well, chasing Harperseven as runner-up in the Vicbred final before edging out Gladiatrix in the heats. Starts from a couple of spots wider but draws well enough to get her chance. ELLE PERFECTO (1) has been racing consistently and the ace draw can see her competitive again. JILLIBY AURA (6) draws wide but in three attempts here she has won twice and placed at Group 1 level so deserves respect.
