CAPTAIN PERFECT (10) bounced back to winning form in the heats of this series, leading and digging deep to get home narrowly. He may require a little luck from his second line draw but his record at this distance is strong and he is good enough if things go his way. MAC BON (12) won the juvenile edition of this series last year and looks to be in form at the right time again, taking out his heat by more than 7m. The draw wide on the back row isn't ideal but his record at this circuit and distance stands at two from three. ITS CONFIDENTIAL (4) has ground to make up on Captain Perfect through his fourth in the heats but was terrific in winning the Vicbred Super Series final at this circuit and distance prior and could peak again. SOHO THE REAL DEAL (2) has been ticking along okay of late, chasing Mac Bon when runner-up in the heats. Gets the right draw to be in the finish. VINEY (9) may need a touch of luck from the back row but pushed Captain Perfect in the heats.
