MERCİA (5) returned to form with a 1L second over 1500m at Kocaeli following a series of poor results. Muhammed Mir Bilgin takes over and an easier handicap could revive him. AUTHORITY (1) was beaten 2L when second tackling 2200m before finishing fourth attempting 2000m here. This shorter contest poses a new test against less accomplished rivals as he remains winless on dirt. GULAZER (3) won a 2100m course handicap and has also placed contesting 1600m. A recent sprint fourth was encouraging. DREAM FOR VICTORY (2) was narrowly beaten by 0.5L following three middle-distance seconds. Two subsequent defeats raise doubts across this sharper distance.
