DON PACHALO (2) just battled last start when eighth over 1000 metres, but he’s better than that and can improve with a cleaner run. Worth another chance in this company. CEDERIC (4) is holding his form superbly with a win three back followed by two strong placings, the latest a runner-up finish over 1100 metres. He’s ideally placed again, and another bold showing is on the cards. BIG RED (1) was far too strong last start, romping home by a wide margin over 1100 metres. With 13 wins at this track, he’s always dangerous and should be prominent from the jump. He’s capable of testing this field. GRAN MANUEL (3) backed up a good second two runs ago with a convincing 6-length win here over 1000 metres five days back. He’s in the zone and well placed to go on with it.
