Liked the way 2yo debutant and full brother to Group1 performer Riodini THOMMO moved when winning trial here on the synthetic. Sat off them and kept building before coming clear. Williams rode in trial and is on board here. BUTTERSCOTCH was sent out a $1.45 favourite before a spell, but had a one nostril bleed so can be forgiving. Went forward and battled on well when close 2nd over 1000m trial here on the synthetic. Shamansara, 3rd, won on debut. Always looked staying type so 1400m on the big track here is ideal. MACCA'S ANGEL has twice placed here over 1400m and the latest one was at a very genuine tempo. Will get a nice run from the draw. OMINOUS looked the sort who would take great benefit from debut run. Jumpouts have been on heavy 10 tracks. Firmer surface will help. SOUNDWAVE should be at peak fitness after three runs and will appreciate a low draw for once. Found the line well off a wide run here at the trip last start.
