KING'S ANCHOR can bounced backafter tackling Flemington Saturday 3yo Quality company over 2500m. Was in behind them turning for home and still there at the 2100m mark before running into traffic and bottoming out. Nice staying 2100m debut when up 500m previous start. Turf form is excellent. MISSION TAICHI jumps up 400m in distance after making debut at 1600m when running on strongly from the rear. Ran best race sectionals BAROSSA VALLEY was meant to be forward last start, but was slow out then took off from the rear at the 800m to lay up closer. Did a good job to rally again after being used up. Very fit with four runs in 2000m range and has shown enough on turf to be right in this. NUMBERSNEVERSEEN will control the tempo with his good natural pace. Ran well on firmer surface over 1600m on Pakenham synthetic, but even better then stepped to 1800m on heavy track. Tested winner and 2.5 len margin back to third is a good sign. KOVU showed he could handle 2100m last start and previous distance run "miss" more likely due to heavy track as he was competive 1800m first up on dry track.
