MIKE'S HOPE resumes off a break, but was given a decent hit out over 1000m to be ready for this and it's is a more suitable trip. Ran well on debut in strong form race. Last start in town raced wide without cover and that race also had excellent depth. BRAZEN WARRIOR didn't handle the heavy track last start, but clear skies and no rain forecast in the next two days could see him bounce back to his form when he was narrowly defeated on debut at Seymour on a Good4 rated track and there was a clear margin to third. BLACKJACK ran well when resuming on the Ballarat synthetic. Sat up in the lead when three of them were pressuring each other and it was a run on finish. Still the best of the leaders. Ran well on the turf at Sunshine Coast previous start for Team McEvoy. IMMORTALISED will be fitter for two synthetic runs, the latest over this trip. Solid on turf last preparation and blinkers again is a positive lead.
