1000m QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate. A dozen can run. As things stand five will be making their debut and two will be 1st-up from a spell. With the weather forecast foremost in mind this is not an easy race to assess. It also may be decimated by scratchings. You don't see very many stables keen to debut in wet ground. The resuming HOLY TERROR ran a close 2nd on debut in heavy ground then was weak on top of the ground and was spelled. The stablemate POETIC BELLE has the benefit of recent racing, placed 3rd on a soft 6 on debut, then ran a close 2nd on top of the ground. If one of those two ain't winning I dare say it's a newcomer. TOO DARN RIGHT has placed in all four trials, two were on soft, one was in heavy. MONTAGNOLA won her trial in heavy ground. Not a race where I'd be risking the rent.
