Nice weather for ducks. BOM is saying there could be anything from 15-70 mm from Monday through Wednesday. Cannot imagine them being c alled given it is Eagle Farm but also cannot imagine the track being upgraded from soft. It may well be heavy which is a rare thing at the 'new' Eagle Farm. Kick the eight race card off with an 1800m Maiden Plate. Just six to run, no obvious leader. KALAMIA KING went good here on good last start. Cannot say it won't handle wet. Can say it is long overdue. SWIFT SOVEREIGN made good improvement up in distance at just 2nd appearance. KINDRED is going well but was scratched from a very suitable race just last Friday. If it lines up here presume all is well, but if the past is a guide cannot assume will cope with wet.
