MONIX has been in a rich vein of form from 975m to 1000m in recent starts in short course races at chute venues like this(Echuca, Swan Hill). Strong winner here in same grade three runs back on Heavy9. That race had a bit of depth. Close up in Heavy 10 previous start. NICEREINE stayed closer to the fence when just beaten at Sale on Heavy9 over similar trip when widest runner caught him late. Winner of race then placed in BM70 next time out.
