KIPPIS resumes off a nice jumpout on Soft 5, but previously seemed ok in working on Soft 7 in jumpout. Started favourite in every start and three of them odds-on. Last start win was impressive giving runner up a big start with 100m to go, but hammered home and there was huge margin to third. Loving the claim for elite apprentice. ROYAL RENDEZVOUS looked to handle the Heavy 8 in Cranbourne jump out when he ran past his rivals stylishly. Only other heat to break 48 seconds for the 800 (fastest was elite 45.84 Tres Magnifique, She's An Artist, Amenable). Ran well Pakenham chute last start before spell, and was held up in the straight for some distance. Impressed in only start/win at the trip. FEHMARN got a bit keen when trying the Flemington straight for the first time in Saturday city company. Impressed over 1000m on Heavy9 at Pakenham in chute start like here. MONIX has been in a rich vein of form from 975m to 1000m in recent starts in short course races at chute venues like this(Echuca, Swan Hill). Strong winner here in same grade three runs back on Heavy9. That race had a bit of depth. Close up in Heavy 10 previous start. NICEREINE stayed closer to the fence when just beaten at Sale on Heavy9 over similar trip when widest runner caught him late. Winner of race then placed in BM70 next time out.
