RULING CLASS (7) raced on the pace when resuming last start and lifted strongly to hold second, beaten a nose, over today's journey at Niigata. Big improvement last time to just miss and can go one better. JUNABELA (13) resumed from a spell last start with a sound second over 1800m at Niigata. In the right race and is sure to prove hard to beat. RED FREEMAN (4) stepped out on his debut over 1600m at Nakayama seven weeks ago and finished 12th, beaten 7 lengths. Will be better for that run and is expected to go well. CLEAR GALE (5) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths into eighth. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
