His prior fourth had merit after he was short of room early in the straight, and the return of Purton suggests he's the one to beat. LITTLE MONSTER (8) is the clear danger on exposed form, having been second to Apex Glory before a close fifth when near the top of an open market. Gets a weight swing in his favour here with Yuen's claim and can turn the tables without surprising. PUDDING GOGO (5) is a NZ$700,000 purchase on debut. He has a pedigree with black-type depth and he's shown enough at the trials to suggest he can run a cheeky race on debut. PRIME ACE (6) draws the inside today and can put his best foot forward with a better run in transit this time.
