GIMME FIVE (11) is the one to beat after a much sharper second-up run at this track, finishing second to Wave Garden and beaten just over a length. He is third-up, gets the apprentice claim, has a win and three placings from nine starts at this track and distance, and has recent form around Daily Trophy and So My Folks that reads well for this. JOLLY COMPANION (4) doesn't have the best recent form, though his recent trial was superb with Purton on board, who sticks with the gelding for his return onto the All Weather circuit. Back onto this surface can see him put his best foot forward. DAILY TROPHY (5) improved first-up when third at this venue and usually improves with racing. Needs a touch of luck from the gate but has strong claims. SO MY FOLKS (3) was second two runs ago before a fair sixth at this track. Draws much better this time around and he can bounce back to his form.
