DAYTONA CHAMP (1) is a handy type who resumes after a break of 11 weeks. At his last appearance he finished sixth over 1800m at Tokyo, beaten 5.5 lengths. Has a win and a placing from two tries fresh. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Will prove tough to beat. NAHATO NANALEON (2) scored a dominant victory at Nakayama over 1600m at her latest appearance on March 28. Has ability and should be right in the finish. COSMO RED (5) missed the placings two starts back when resuming then ran a better race and finished 4.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1800m at Hakodate after being in the firing line on the turn. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. MEISHO HAKKEI (3) has been in the market at her last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing tenth over 1200m at Hakodate. Can improve and is worth including.
