FU DAO LE (2) gets the nod despite starting unwanted last time, because his fourth in a C7 at this track was the best recent platform among the main chances and he has a win and three placings from eleven starts at this track and distance. The winning rider is back aboard and the class drop gives him the right chance to convert that profile. GRAND CUBE (5) has been plain on paper, but his latest ninth in a C4 was only beaten just over six lengths and he kept working home after being left with too much to do. His past wins at this venue and record with Hosokawa Satoshi make him the clear danger. YAMORI ATSUMARE (11) comes through C2 and B9 races, has placed eight times in the past 12 months and is better suited back to this level if he can sharpen late. MIYABI EXCELLENT (1) improved to fourth in a C5 last start and brings enough 1500m experience to press for a placing, though her winning case still depends on taking another step forward.
