MEINER SLAVA (7) is the one to beat after consecutive seconds at this track, each by a length and a half, and his record at this track and distance gives the selection a solid base. He was again well respected in betting last start in C9 company and fought on soundly, so the class drop and proven 1500m profile make him the clearest winning option. DREAM TRIP (8) is a serious danger after being beaten only a neck first-up as an odds-on favourite, with her four wins and one placing from six starts at this track and distance hard to ignore. GRASS FEATHER (6) brings the sharp winning form, having scored by four lengths last start after an earlier win, and his prior 1500m record says the trip is within range. DONA EPONA (11) is more speculative but did improve at big odds when third to Go Go Mango, beaten just over a length, and that effort gives her a genuine chance if she holds that level.
