HAKUSAN IRIS (2) gets the nod on a strong set-up rather than his latest finishing position, with two wins from three starts at this track and distance and Atsuya Nishimura back aboard after a prior winning association. His tenth at Hanshin Dirt was only three and a half lengths from Resuscitation, while the Niigata Dirt fourth two runs ago showed he is close enough to this level when he finishes off. MORNING MAGIC (5) resumes with a very solid 1400m profile, having won three times and placed four more from nine attempts around the trip, and her ALLOW win over Fiddle Faddle last campaign reads well for this. JODY'S MARRON (8) worked home fairly first-up over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt and is fitter second-up, with a previous 1400m win keeping him right in the contest. ASK I'LL BE THERE (3) has to rebound from a plain first-up run, but his record at this venue and prior ALLOW fourth give him enough substance to be a genuine minor winning hope.
