SHOW DANCER (4) looks the right horse to beat after building neatly through two runs this campaign, fourth at Hanshin Dirt before closing into third at this track behind Sistema Solar, beaten a length and a half. His track-and-distance record gives that latest effort added substance and he is well placed to peak third-up. HOSHO LUX (9) resumes with the sharpest lightly raced profile, having won two of four overall and placed at Kokura Dirt before the break, with a prior win over Joan showing she can handle pressure. POD VOLK (3) was plain first-up at Hanshin Dirt, but his record at this track and distance, plus the returning winning rider, makes him a genuine rebound chance if that run has brought him on. JO TARUMAE (8) has not won for a while, but he brings repeated placing form across the past year and a strong association with Ryota Sameshima, so he sits in the mix for the minors if he finishes off better second-up.
