NAOMIGA SAIKYO (1) sets the standard after resuming with a second at Hanshin Dirt, beaten four lengths by Book Of Kells, and she already has a placing at this distance from just one attempt. Her debut fifth in a NEWCOMER gave her a base, and the first-up improvement makes her the most reliable form reference. MARINER VALLEY (3) has finished fifth at both starts and was not disgraced when beaten just over six lengths at Kyoto, though her previous try around 1800m did not produce a placing. WIN BREEZE (6) was disappointing on debut at this track, beaten over 15 lengths, but the market kept her safe and that suggests there may be more to come with race experience. MEAL (4) resumes after a three-month break with a class drop and a useful family background, but her Chukyo debut was plain and she has to show sharper race manners first-up.
