POPE CODY (2) sets the standard after winning at this track two runs back and then finishing fourth as favourite, beaten just over a length by Audacious Pursuit. His record at the trip is well established and the return of Alex Badel adds another positive layer. FORZA TORO (10) has to rebound from a plain ninth at Sha Tin, but his previous C4 win at this track was decisive, beating Podium by three lengths, and his limited record at this distance is sound. EMBRACES (9) had little clear room when sixth to Pope Cody and was beaten just under three lengths, so he is a genuine danger with proven track-and-trip form. HIGHLAND RAHY (6) was solid on resumption and has turned in a handy trial since. Has the speed to offset the tricky draw and can be in this for a long way.
