VALSECITO (6) was well supported when resuming last time out over 1600m at Chukyo and proved too strong, scoring by 2 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement and looks sure to run well again. Well fancied to make it back-to-back wins. T O AL AIN (1) comes here off a break of 12 weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1800m at Kyoto. One of the genuine hopes in the race. DANON CASERTA (4) did a good job last start to finish second at Kokura over 2000m, beaten 1.5 lengths. Big chance coming back in trip. SHONAN BALDR (5) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing fifth over 1600m at Chukyo. Expecting improvement.
