RED FARO (8) made a strong return from a layoff last time out in a maiden steeplechase (2910m) at Kyoto, finishing second when partnered by today's rider M Nishitani. Fitter and sure to go well again. FABER (4) did a reasonable job when he finished second in a maiden steeplechase (2880m) at Nakayama two runs back. Franked that form when just 5 lengths away in third last time out in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo. Must be a chance again. HIGHWAY STAR (9) was unplaced two runs ago in a maiden steeplechase (2910m) at Kyoto. Turned things around last time when she grabbed second in a maiden steeplechase (2770m) at Fukushima. The recent form should stack up. COLLECTANEA (5) made his debut over the jumps when returning from a spell last start. Did a good job on that occasion when third, beaten 5.5 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (2750m) at Fukushima. Among the better chances.
