NRL Supercoach 2026 – Round 10 Tips and Picks

06/05/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

Last round served up another points bonanza, with Latrell Mitchell torching the scoreboard, the Knights' left edge running riot, and 80-point thrillers becoming the new normal.

If you're staring at your Supercoach side wondering which lever to pull next, you're not alone.

Below, we've broken down the seven biggest talking points heading into Supercoach Round 10 so you can plot your trades, lock in your captain and chase those green arrows.

NRL Supercoach 2026 – Round 10 Tips and Picks

1. Latrell vs Hynes is the Captaincy Fork in the Road

The Rabbitohs hosting the Sharks is shaping as the points-fest of the round, with both teams combining for 172 points across the past fortnight.

Latrell Mitchell (43.9% captaincy) and Nicholas Hynes are both in monster form, making this fixture the obvious place to park your armband.

2. Nathan Cleary Remains the Safest VC Play

With the Panthers facing the Raiders, Cleary is sitting on 37.5% captaincy ownership.

James Tedesco against the Titans is the popular VC loophole at 44.1%, especially with the Roosters expected to run riot.

3. The Knights' Left Edge is Unstoppable

Greg Marzhew (131), Bailey Hodgson, Dylan Lucas (97) and a recharged Kalyn Ponga (92) all cashed in last week.

With the Dragons up next and Luciano Leilua suspended, Newcastle's attacking weapons are flying out of squads — Ponga alone has been traded in by 15.7% of coaches.

4. Injury Carnage to Navigate

The casualty ward is overflowing. Key outs to action this week include:

Mark Nawaqanitawase — ankle surgery, 6–8 weeks.

Brandon Smith — calf, 4 weeks.

Adam Doueihi — shoulder dislocation, 4–6 weeks.

Jeremiah Nanai — shoulder, 4–6 weeks.

Adam Reynolds — concussion, likely out.

Kotoni Staggs — suspended for two matches.

5. Cash Cows Worth Riding

Low breakevens equal value. Tom Duffy (-65), Apa Twidle (-42) and Luke Hanson (-21) are the cheapies generating coin, while Reed Mahoney (-28) is firming as a genuine keeper at the hooker spot after his 97 against the Dogs.

6. Time to Cut the Fallers

If you're still holding players with breakevens north of 130, the value bleed is real.

Thomas Jenkins (BE 162), Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (153), Luke Metcalf (146) and Jayden Campbell (144) are all bleeding cash.

Herbie Farnworth's 130 breakeven at $852k is particularly dangerous.

7. Most-traded Targets to Consider

The hive mind has spoken. The biggest moves this week:

In: Kalyn Ponga (15.7%), Kayal Iro (7.7%), Nicholas Hynes (7.2%), Greg Marzhew (6.5%)

Out: Arama Hau (19.9%), Mark Nawaqanitawase (12.7%), Adam Doueihi (11.2%), Keano Kini (6.7%)
