NRL Match Review and Judiciary Round 9 Recap:

- Panthers’ utility Jack Cogger is staring down a one-week suspension after a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle charge for his hit on Sea Eagles centre Tolu Koula.

- Broncos’ centre Kotoni Staggs has accepted an early guilty plea to a Dangerous Contact charge and will sit out two matches, including Magic Round.

- Manly pair Ben Trbojevic and Luke Brooks are both facing $1800 fines for separate Grade 1 charges.

- Bulldogs’ winger Jonathan Sua, Dolphins back-rower Kulikefu Finefeuiaki and Sharks prop Tom Hazelton have all copped $1000 fines after early guilty pleas.

Cogger Sweating on Penrith Plea

Panthers utility Jack Cogger faces a nervous wait after being charged with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle for his shot on Tolu Koula in Sunday night's win over Manly.

The 28-year-old was sin-binned for the contact and now must decide whether to take the early guilty plea, which would see him miss Penrith's Round 10 clash with the Raiders, or roll the dice at the judiciary and risk a two-game ban.

Cogger has until 12pm Tuesday to enter his plea, leaving Ivan Cleary and the Panthers brain’s trust little time to plot their Canberra game plan.

Staggs Set for Two-Week Stint on the Sidelines

Broncos’ centre Kotoni Staggs won't be wasting time fighting his charge. Sin-binned in the 70th minute at Allianz Stadium for coming down with his elbow on the head of Roosters centre Hugo Savala, Staggs has entered an early guilty plea to a Dangerous Contact charge.

As it's his second offence of this nature, the punchy centre cops a two-game suspension.

He'll miss Brisbane's Round 10 fixture against the Sea Eagles and the highly-anticipated Magic Round showdown with the Warriors – a significant blow for Michael Maguire's title-chasing outfit.

Manly Duo Hit in the Hip Pocket

It was a costly weekend for the Sea Eagles off the field as well. Ben Trbojevic has been slapped with a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge while Luke Brooks faces a Tripping charge under the Grade 1 Dangerous Contact banner. Both are looking at $1800 fines as second-time offenders, with their pleas yet to be confirmed.
