Victorian racing heads to Bendigo on Wednesday for an eight-race card where a $34 chance looks set to improve.

Trackwalker Info

"Lanes 1-4 as good as any with plenty of fresh ground there. We’d suggest looking for horses that can make their run in these Lanes. Advantage on speed runners and stalkers."

Key Stat

Grahame Begg strikes at 25% with his stock at Bendigo and if you'd backed each of his runners there over the past 10 years you'd be up +38% on your investment.

Longshot

Race 7 of the meeting is 0-64 handicap over 1500m and the Jason Warren-trained Born Hustler should be a big improver.

Bendigo Race 7 Speed Map

The daughter of Tarzino won impressively three starts back on a dry track at BM58 level, which is decisively easier than today’s assignment. But at least the runner-up there, Galactic Express has dismantled his opponents since.

Born Hustler then went to a BM64 in town where she was 5th behind WATADEEL and the smart LOCO in conditions that were a touch too wet for her.

It was enough for Warren to send her to Adelaide for the Listed Auraria Stakes [1800m] where her beaten margin was 64L indicating something went wrong.

She’s had a little freshen up, comes back to 1500m, gets onto a drier track and drops back to 0-64 grade. This should give her the chance to run at least into the placings and at $34 she looks a great Longshot for a Wednesday afternoon.
