Sydney Swans vs Adelaide Crows Prediction - Round 19 2026

15/07/2026|Josh Jenkins|AFL Tips & Predictions

Sydney will look to strengthen their hold on a top four spot when hosting Adelaide Crows at the SCG on Friday night.

The Swans went down 111-73 to the ladder-leading Dockers at Optus Stadium last Thursday, conceding 15 second-half majors after holding Justin Longmuir's side goalless in the first half.

Charlie Curnow continued his strong run of form, kicking five goals to take his season tally to 50, leapfrogging Ben King atop the Coleman Medal leaderboard in the process.

Meanwhile, Adelaide proved far too good for the struggling Suns, winning 128-49 on Saturday night.

Taylor Walker kicked five goals and now sits one away from reaching 700 career majors.

Izak Rankine also had one of his strongest performances of the year, finishing with 31 touches, eight tackles and a goal.

The Crows dominated the most recent outing between these sides, defeating the Swans 131-41 at the SCG in Round 12 of last year.

We should be set for a cracker of a match, with the likes of Isaac Heeney, Charlie Curnow, Tom Papley and Errol Gulden taking on Ben Keays, Izak Rankine, Darcy Fogarty and Jordan Dawson.

Mouthwatering stuff at the SCG this Friday night, its 2nd vs 5th, Sydney vs Adelaide, Swans vs Crows.

Sydney Swans vs Adelaide Crows Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The last time Adelaide rolled into the SCG, they walked out with a 90-point win. There's next to no chance of a repeat here, but it's an interesting bit of recent history given where both clubs sit now.

Back then, the Swans were staring down a finals miss. These days they're chasing a top-two finish and an inside run at another Grand Final appearance.

Sydney had Fremantle exactly where they wanted them for most of last Thursday's clash before a Purple Procession took hold, leaving the Swans with the seven lowest-rated players on the ground in the final term.

Adelaide will roll into Sydney with some belief behind them, but the Swans back on home soil off a decent rest should prove too strong. Any further hiccups and the questions about Sydney's premiership credentials will only get louder.

Head-to-head prediction: Sydney Swans by 18 points.

First Goal Scorer Prediction

Charlie Curnow is now the outright favourite for the Coleman Medal after Jeremy Cameron's injury and the decline of Dimma’s Gold Coast.

There’s no better stage to press that advantage than in front of the home crowd.

With Curnow hitting peak form in recent weeks, the Adelaide defence will have their hands full from the opening ball-up.

Betting tip: Charlie Curnow.

Most Disposals Prediction

Isaac Heeney has been in stellar form in recent weeks and we don’t see why that’d be changing on Friday night.

The Maitland product is firmly entrenched as one of the best players in the league and belongs in conversations alongside the likes of Nick Daicos and Marcus Bontempelli.

His ability to compete at every contest is first class and he’s been one of the Swans most consistent ball-winners all season.

Heeney will have a target on his back coming into this one, but even still, Adelaide will be unable to nullify his effectiveness with the ball.

Betting tip: Isaac Heeney.
