Fremantle host Geelong at Optus Stadium on Friday night before Brisbane welcome Adelaide to the Gabba on Saturday and both hosts have pressure to keep their 2026 campaigns alive in front of a home crowd.

Luke Jackson is the sort of ruck-forward hybrid who racks up numbers without ever looking like he is chasing them.

The last time these two sides met, Jackson finished with 28 disposals and three clearances, which is midfielder output from the big ruckie.

At a shade over 20 disposals, the price on offer looks generous for a player who has already shown he likes to get involved and never shirks his duties. 

Not to mention he cleared 20 last week in their loss to the Hawks. We like the All-Australian Ruckman to get at least 20+ here.

Sam Switkowski - Fremantle Dockers

Sam Switkowski has been reminding everyone that he’s too young to retire! The Freo small forward has kicked a goal in three of his last five games and was one of the Dockers’ best performers in the Qualifying Final loss last week. 

The price still has not caught up with the form and in a final at Optus Stadium there will be plenty of scrappy forward-fifty chaos for him to feast on.

Charlie Cameron - Brisbane Lions

Some players just have a team they enjoy playing and for Charlie Cameron that team is Adelaide.

He has booted two or more goals in nine of his last 10 against the Crows and three or more in six of those 10, which is a frankly ridiculous strike rate against a side like the Crows who have had a quality squad in the last few years. 

He kicked three in the most recent meeting back in Round 7, so the trend is very much alive.

We will be upfront about this one: it is a vibe bet.

Both Ashcroft brothers to kick a goal in a home final is not a play built on a spreadsheet, but it is a tidy little same game multi, designed around form and value, with a bit of narrative behind it.

Both players are fierce competitors and have been in fine form coming into September and both can kick goals from 50 no worries.
