Competitive renewal. WITCH HUNTER (5) has been a fine servant to connections but has struggled in better races than this through the bulk of the season since winning at Newcastle. Attractively weighted and stable couldn't be in better form. MR SWIVELL (8) wasn't disgraced at York in a similar race three weeks ago and if in the same form here then he will take plenty of beating. NORTHERN EXPRESS (3) dug deep to win in a 1400m contest at York last time out by a head. Yard are going well and he holds every chance. JEDDAAL (12) has won twice since being gelded and is improving rapidly. Looks a major threat.
