Up to Wyong we go and while they contemplated moving this meeting to Sunday to avoid the heat the decision was to go ahead with an expected high of 39 degrees. We begin with 2YOs and two Thursday morning scratchings totally changed the race. TIGRONI and ROYAL WOOTTON were my one/two picks but I'm happy enough to turn to GOLD GLOBE after placing in two Rosehill trials recently. Perhaps 1200m may be the bottom end of what he's after but only time will tell that. Waterhouse/Bott leave PROTON in the race and we saw this colt improve at his second trial. ROYAL EXILE has the race experience and both 2nd and 3rd from that race won their next start.
