EXIT LEFT (2) stuck on gamely when finishing runner-up by less than a length at Otaki 15 days ago, and he seems to like it when racing on the pace. A heavy track is his happy place, and he should be among the hardest to beat in this. TEXAS (3) was doing his best work too late at Waipukurau nearly a fortnight ago, and he has won twice second up in the past. He is likely to settle near the rear again, but if the tempo is genuine, then he is capable of a top 3 finish in this. PRINCESS ELLY (5) can be unreliable, but she has produced some strong efforts when caught in the right mood. A wet track and this trip is well within her wheelhouse, and she can put in a big run when fresh. Watch the market closely. SAY I DO (8) did not fire at Waipukurau last start, but she had excuses. She can make amends in this. COTTON ROCA (11) was back in form at Whanganui 3 weeks ago, and there is no reason why she can't figure in the top 3 here as well.
