JAEGER (5) battled away gamely as the favourite 3 weeks ago at Whanganui when finishing fourth. He can maintain that form now that he is fully fit, and he should go close to taking this out. Follow your money. CAPACI (10) needed her fresh run, and she then finished third at Otaki last time out over this trip. She is peaking at the right time, and a heavy track will suit her right down to the ground. Hard to beat. LITTLE THIEF (16) had trialled up well prior to finishing third fresh up on a heavy track at Waipukurau nearly 2 weeks ago over 1400m. The extra 250m will suit him, and despite a wide gate, he is worth including. LANTERN WAY (7) has been mixing his form, and drops in trip here. He is not the worst at odds.
