As the early market would suggest, it does seem to be a two horse race. Can't see LEONA bypassing Cranbourne Saturday night from a better barrier. GWEN'S GIRL was run down by Jewel Bandit at Cranbourne. Had she cornered better she might've hung on. That form got a huge boost when Jewel Bandit won a strong $150,000 race at Geelong at his next start. MEET ME HALFWALF looks likely to box seat on the back of GWEN'S GIRL. She had her chance at Swan Hill but did like the way she kept trying. The one that beat her was a 22 start maiden. She was coming off a Dunkeld 1000m maiden 2nd, Nov 15. On that same day GWEN'S GIRL finished 2nd in the race prior and that maiden was around 9-10L quicker. LOTS OF TORQUE is a clear 3rd pick. Have no clue who runs 4th.
