Warrnambool will be Heavy for this one, even though Sunday actually looks like quite a nice winter day, with a top of 16 and plenty of sunshine about. We begin with a Maiden Hurdle and ARDAKAN gets a nother great chance of breaking through. His latest win was in the Italian Derby over Tempesti. No match for the winner last start but he beat THE CLAIMANT by others like MR ZED, CHRISTMAS and TEEWATERS have also been well in arrears to him recently. What a sign of the modern age of racing that four years later they are both toiling away on the other side of the world. That leaves jumping newcomers CAPTAIN ELECTRIC and GRIPPING to pose biggest threat. ELECTRIC has prepared with two nice enough flat wins and GRIPPING was a solid winner of a trial here on June 15th.
