Had no luck getting runs wider at top of straight, comes back inside field and very strong last 200, running meeting best sectional to prevail in two horse war. Runner up Jackand has been in good form. AZEOLA got to the 2000m a bit too early second up, but her last run when back over 1600m suggested she would be ready. No luck top of straight last start going for a run that wasn't there, checked and lost momentum, picked up again. A LONG STORY SHORT was used up early rather than being wide and still got the job done despite still being raw prospect. Sure to have improved with more race experience. GOVERNOR KING was a tactical change to go forward last start and scored an easy win for the same rider. OMAMORI comes back in trip after four runs at 2400m staying range races. Has placed in three runs at the 2000m. Maybe tempo of 2000m suits better. Only one to claim in the race.
