BLUE SHIELD had jumped out well on a heavy track before his solid debut as a fav at Geelong. His 1243m maiden recorded faster time than the other one, same day. PADDYPIE has had a thorough education at the trials and he's shown enough to think he can win first go. It's 15 weeks since RIP CURRENT debuted here soundly. Can't find a trial this time around. THE QUIET IMMORTAL was a beaten fav all three starts last prep but all runs were sound. He's run ok on a heavy track. Don't mind DAME FLORENCE back to 1300m. On the Sandown 2nd, she's a great hope. PRAVAHA had excuses for her debut when well backed. She always trials well.
