ASHOKA (2) has been a touch unlucky not to have won any of his last 4 starts, and his run of wide gates will continue here. He steps out to 1400m for the first time, and he certainly deserves a winning turn. WISE CHOICE (6) caught the eye on debut when finishing third on the Cambridge poly track, and he then lifted late to score by a nose at Te Rapa 3 weeks ago. The extra 200m is ideal, and he can repeat the ob. YOKOZUNA (7) has been disappointing overall, and maybe he does need a heavy track. He has a good gate here, and with the aid of a 3kg claim, we are willing to give him another chance. GOLDEN POINT (4) handles the heavy track best of all when scoring his first win a month ago at Avondale. He has the scope to go on with the job. Each way. SHE'S A BOSS (10) has been mixing her form, and she found the track at Waverley last start too testing. She can make amends in this. SWEET ICE (1) resumes from a spell, and she should not be taken lightly at some nice each-way value.
